Summer 2023: Exploring the Portrayal of Rape Myths on “Law & Order: SVU

Description:
The purpose of this project is to examine the extent to which the famous television show, “Law & Order: SVU,” portrays rape myths in its episodes. Students will be assigned episodes of the show to watch and code. Coders will be trained on recognizing rape myths on screen and how to record them. Participants should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Drive. Prior coding experience is appreciated but not required.
