As an undergraduate research assistant, you will gain research skills, gain access and experience working with qualitative software, have the ability to present at an academic conference with me, and potentially earn co-authorship on publication.
Team Needs:
The team is seeking motivated undergraduate research assistants who are reliable, able to work independently and in collaboration, and interested in learning more about college access for first-generation students of color. Research assistants need to be able to commit to training sessions, where they are taught software and given their expectations for duties. Work can be done online or in College Station.
Description:
The purpose of this study is to conduct a systematic literature review to explore the experiences of first-generation women of color in federally funded TRIO programs across the nation. This research is guided by the following overarching question: What are the experiences of first-generation women of color in federally-funded TRIO Programs? In this review, duties range from extracting data and assessing its quality to synthesizing the data with descriptive statistics or appraising the relevance and quality of potential articles.
