Do you like to think until your brain hurts? Do you want to learn how psychology, marketing, and behavioral economics are applied in the real word? Do you want to contribute to research that can shift the way people think about media consumption? If your answer to these questions is “yes!” then this could be the project for you. We are recruiting a group of 5 undergraduate students to join our research team. Successful applicants will have an interest in psychology, marketing, and/or behavioral economics, as well as an interest in media consumption and its impact on our society. The minimum time commitment for this project is 10 hours per week over the summer, and 7.5 hours per week during the school year. This project will run from May 2021 until May 2022. Students from all backgrounds and disciplines are encouraged to apply. |
Description:
|
In this project we will explore if, when, and how the US news media uses psychology to manipulate its audience. |
