Science and engineering majors desired, hard working (willing to work 5-10 hours each week), desire for hands on experience (experimentation, characterization, article writing for publication, etc.), able to meet deadlines/have good time management skills.

Description:
|
Students will design and fabricate novel coatings and test them for durability. Primary focus will be on corrosion, wear, hardness, and impact resistance. Potential applications include the oil and gas industry and the aerospace industry. Project will include sample fabrication and preparation, several types of experiments, and culminate in the potential publication of journal article(s). |
