Spring 2021: Youth Development: Black Girls & Out of School Time Activities

Special Opportunities:
Participants will learn how to: 1) Read research articles, 2) Complete a literature review matrix, 3) Critique peer-reviewed research, 4) Develop academic writing skills, 5) (possibly) Co-author a manuscript for journal submission
Team Needs:
We are looking for team members who are willing to read at least four articles a week. Team members must be detail oriented, willing to learn, flexible, interested in understanding the mechanics of academic writing, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about the research topic.
Description:
This project is intended to review and synthesize the developmental research regarding Black Girls in the U.S. and out of school time activities. Opportunities to design further research initiatives may be available.
