Description:
The objective of this study is to understand the factors that contributed to this particular white urban educator’s decision to stay in the field, as well as understand the nature of the relationships that contributed to her resilience.The following research questions undergird this study: 1) What factors contributed to this educator staying in urban education? 2) How did the school context (administration, support, school culture, etc.) shape this educator’s trajectory? 3) What is the nature of the relationships surrounding this educator during her most critical years?
