Team Needs:
Basic python coding is required !!! Some data analysis skills are very desirable.
Description:
The objective of the project is to learn how to obtain freely available environmental data e.g. – rainfall, soil moisture, temperature, land-cover, etc. from agencies such as NASA and USGS and convert them into a format helpful in doing data analysis. The student will learn how to clean data and do basic data analysis. The data cleaning and analysis will be done in a programming language preferable to the student (such as R, Python or Matlab). Though prior experience in programming is helpful, its not mandatory. The student will be taught how to carry out basic commands and how to obtain and organize different types and formats of data. The extent of the data analysis will depend on the skill and willingness of the student
