Description:

This project takes a qualitative look at defining and describing whisper networks in the workplace. Whisper networks came into public awareness during the #MeToo movement, however they have existed for a longer period of time. Whisper networks are an avenue through which people share information about alleged sexual harassers or abusers in the workplace or industry. This information is meant to stay private within the network, and is shared by talking to people, over the internet, or through privately shared documents. In the current study, we will collect qualitative data. Ultimately, we hope to gain a better understanding of what whisper networks look like in organizations, how they operate, and identify who is typically included or excluded from these networks. |
