Availability to drive to and spend time at the Howdy Farm caring for and supervising crop, documenting data, building hydroponic model systems, performing nutritional analyses on crop, etc.
Description:
Agriculture and gardening have been the pinnacle of industrial change and optimization of efficiency over decades, however, with the mass need of fresh food for the populations come loopholes in the quality and nutritional value of these goods. By implementing community-wide gardening practices, one can ensure that the food that they eat comes from an optimal source and is being grown and allowed to ripen in a natural way. This research serves to promote the use of gardening in schools, after-school programs, and homes through various gardening techniques to increase the convenience for the consumer to ensure that this practice is sustainable.
