While no prior research experience is necessary, we are particularly interested in individuals who possess a passion for video games, a drive to acquire marketable skills, or an aspiration to engage in research. |

Description:

Guided by associate research scientist, Dr. Michael Rugh, we will study research questions related to video games, simulations, and gamification used in education at or above the high school level. There may be opportunities to assist the graduate student or the rest of our Lab to design and create a small video game prototype for testing in Unreal or Unity, but this is not common nor required. In general, the work will consist of reading and summarizing existing literature on a topic, designing research studies, collecting and analyzing data, and writing or presenting findings. Our lab works on multiple projects related to game-based learning. Over time, you can choose whether you want to work on more than one project. |
