Clostridoides difficile is a gram positive bacteria listed as a global health threat due to the infection in people in hospital settings or who have undergone antibiotic treatment, producing gut inflammation. Spores are the dormant form responsible for infection and persistence. As we study the function of proteins in the surface of the spore of this patohgenic bacteria, we also evaluate their role in infection and pathogenesis, in the mice animal model. Here, we will do molecular biology, C. difficile spore purification, and infection experiments |
