Description:
This quantitative and qualitative study investigates how First Generation Minority students (FGMs) in STEM respond academically to variables such as coursework, extracurricular activities, and other outside liabilities. The goal of this research project is to further understand how coursework along with additional outside responsibilities influence academic performance in FGMs, and to develop a framework for FGMs that will help navigate and prepare students to perform well in college
