Spring 2022: Predicting biological activities using QSAR analysis

Affiliations: Aggie Research Mentoring Program
Project Leader: Nicolas Cabrera
nicolascabrera93@tamu.edu
Biomedical Engineering
Faculty Mentor: Roland Kaunas, Ph.D.
Meeting Times:
TBA
Team Size:
3
Open Spots: 0
Special Opportunities:
Exploring the bridge between machine learning and biological systems
Team Needs:
Curiosity, responsibility. I prefer not to have seniors because my goal is to teach undergraduates how to do research in long term.
Description:
We are going to gather compounds that were tested in vitro for specific biological activities. We are going obtain models to predict biological activities using 3D-molecular descriptors calculated from each compound.
