Description:
This research focuses on utilizing ethnography’s strengths to investigate issues of diversity that may affect students at Texas A&M University. Specifically, the investigator intends to determine whether a systematic, in-class research experience framework allows for a critical investigation of diversity in its multiple forms. This ethnographic pedagogy will be implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year. The investigator believes that these insights gained from this inquiry-based, learning experience will substantially increase the level of awareness of students as central stakeholders in creating a welcoming and inclusive TAMU campus and will allow them to be actively engaged with issues that affect their success at the university.
