Description:
|
This project concerns human fatigue, specifically mental fatigue, caused by driving for an extended period of time. The study will make use of a driving simulator and have participants perform a simulated drive which seeks to mimic the environment of a long-haul truck driver. The experiment with investigate the effectiveness of one or more intervening task (in which the participant pauses driving and performs a dissimilar task) to decrease mental fatigue and its effects. Measurements will be made of driver performance, subjective measures (feelings of fatigue), and physiological measurements (heart rate, etc.) |
