Presentation of research findings at student research week, local meetings and/or contribution to scientific publications.
Team Needs:
Students will assist in both animal studies, cell culture, and molecular analyses of tissues from ongoing studies. Students will also learn how to conduct literature searches and practice their writing skills.
Description:
This project will involve several aspects of ongoing studies on the link between obesity and postmenopausal breast cancer using rodent and in vitro models. We are particularly interested in how weight gain and changes in adiposity and inflammation during menopause contribute to tumor growth.
