Spring 2020 – Investigating the Robustness of Nanoscale Biological Motor

  • Learn how to build quantitative models using scientific data.
  • Also depending upon your interest you might get hands-on training with Molecular biology in bacteria
Team Needs:
We expect team members to be punctual and maintain good attendance at scheduled laboratory sessions. You will be expected to be a good team player and coordinate with others in the team. We need individuals interested in learning and carrying out data analysis in Matlab, any prior experience in coding is preferred.
Description:
We will answer problems related to signaling and feedback in a complex biological system by studying the dynamic bacterial behavior. The specific system we are interested in is Bacterial motor. We will further model how robust the bacterial motor is to defects in their assembly. The data will be analysed using particle tracking in Matlab and ImageJ. Modelling will involve solving of differential equations.
