Team Needs:
I am looking for students with a genuine interest in ruminant nutrition. Students will be expected to complete lab safety acknowledgement certificates. Experience with cattle is preferred, but not required. Students must also have suitable transportation to the Animal Science Teaching and Research Extension Center.
Description:
The objective of this study is to determine the optimum time and length of feeding virginiamycin on performance, feed consumption, rumen microbiome and acidosis, and animal health and welfare through the occurrence of liver and lung abscesses of growing and finishing calves
