Team Needs: | We need someone who will quickly dive into the research, who is willing to learn new skills and work with the team, and have at least three semesters finished in their undergraduate program. Basic knowledge of chemistry and some understanding of polymer concepts are required. We will meet twice a week for 3 hours each time. Additionally, we will need to have 1 meeting per month to present our progress to the team. |
Description:
|
We will explore the possibility to use antioxidant polymers as corrosion inhibitors, and we will further develop coatings based on these polymers for corrosion protection of steel substrates. The research will include metal substrates preparation, coating deposition, electrochemical testing, and data analysis. We will work with various characterization techniques, including FTIR, ellipsometry, contact angle, UV-vis spectroscopy, and electrochemistry.
