Proposal Development Leadership

HSI & Inclusion Leadership Program

The Aggie Research Program has partnered with the Office of HSI and Inclusivity Research Services at Texas A&M to create the HSI & Inclusion Proposal Development Program. It is designed to expand research capacity by supporting professional development of emerging faculty leaders as they prepare their extramural grant proposals.

  • Enhance the competitiveness of your proposal by recruiting a diverse team of collaborators
  • Engage with experienced faculty to share best practices proposal development and leading teams
  • Receive assistance with proposal details from Texas A&M Research Development Services
  • Earn certification and recognition as a proposal development leader

To join Program:

  • Be a faculty member that can submit a proposal as a Primary Investigator (PI)
  • Plan to mentor a team of faculty that includes at least 3 or faculty with limited proposal development experience
  • Identify an HSI or Inclusion grant solicitation
  • Submit the registration form

To earn Certification

  • Interview and select your proposal development team members
  • Conduct periodic meetings with your proposal development team
  • Attend monthly Team Leader Meetings for at least one full grant cycle
  • Complete short periodic progress reports
  • Document the development of a Best Practice for proposal development leadership
