Staellite remote sensing observations provide a direct mechanism to oversee the impacts of climate variability on global water cycle. One such impact is to understand how soil moisture patterns are affecting in creation of ecoregions – such information is crucial for researchers, magagers, etc. The project involves working with global soil moisture satellite datasets to produce maps of ecoregions at different three different spatial resolutions.
