Guided by a faculty advisor, postdoc-researcher, and a graduate student, we will explore the role of self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies on complex decision making in health/medical simulation activity (e.g., game based, VR, and real life simulation). Furthermore, we are also interested to examine mediating contexts that may lead to SLR strategies used when making complex desicion making, such as what are the different types of emotions involved when facing complex problems in healthcare (e.g., disaster and other emergency types of scenarios) and how are individual SRL becomes a shared SRL activity in a team based simulation activities.
