In addition to the certification and experience through the ARP program, students are also expected to take away tangible skills and products for professional development. These include program management skills, program materials, co-authorship on publications / presentations, etc.
Team Needs:
Team needs include being willing to work with a team, but still be a self-starter on independent work. A desire and passion to educate others with physical activity / health promotion efforts is a must!
Description:
The primary purpose of this project will be to assist with various sub-projects that include the research, development, and evaluation of health programs delivered online. Specifically, team members will contribute to the implementation of community-based physical activity programs in Texas. As a result of participation in the project, team members will gain valuable research and community engagement experience. Deliverables for the team members include applied skills in health program research and management; development of products for portfolio; and co-authorship on potential publications and presentations.
