Description:
|
The Clement Lab focuses on elucidating mechanisms of male fertility using an interdisciplinary approach. We develop novel in-vitro models for the seminiferous epithelium using bioengineering approaches as well as use genetic mouse models to characterize novel testis specific proteins. Specifically, in-vitro models are focused on implementing mechanical forces and investigating the effects, such as the contribution to efficient in-vitro spermatogenesis. Undergraduates will primarily assist with the development and validation of such in-vitro models by learning and helping with cell/tissue culture, histology, immunohistochemistry, culture device production, data acquisition, and general lab tasks. Students wishing to apply should express interest in testis and cell biology and be able to spend a minimum of 9 hours/week in the lab. Students must be available Tuesday from 3-6. All skill and education levels are encouraged to apply. Please apply at https://forms.gle/25shHU8gzKGFUMgE6 |
