Description:
Today, semi tractor trailers are typically not monitored from an IoT perspective and fleet owners and drivers are relatively ignorant of the status of trailer systems (e.g. brakes, tires, load, etc.) which leads to safety violations, unnecessary disablements on the highway and unforeseen costly repairs. Our team will investigate how to utilize Bluetooth and a variety of sensors to make a semi tractor trailer “smart.” The purpose is to notify drivers and fleet owners prior to catastrophic failures or accidents, giving them time to respond to failed systems in a responsible and least cost way
