Spring 2024: Understanding the early development of math anxiety

Special Opportunities:
Students will be trained to work with young children and family to collect information using methods such as survey/interview, neurocognitive tests, standardized achievement tests, psychophysiology, and observation. Students will also have the opportunities to work on conference presentations and manuscripts for publications.
Team Needs:
Responsible and motivated students who are interested in engaging in psychological research are welcome to apply. Due to the nature of the work, students will need to be available on weekends and evening times in order to accommodate participants’ schedules. Minimum commitment requirement: 10hr/week for 2 semesters
Description:
In this project, we will collect data from families with kindergartener to 2nd graders to better understand how math anxiety develop in the early educational stage. Student researchers will attend recruitment events, run experiments, and process data. There will also be opportunities for students to work on conference presentations and manuscripts for publications.
