Requirements: No prior research experience required. Team members must be self-motivated, hardworking, and open to on-the-job learning. Preference will be given to students with a keen interest in materials science, engineering, or related fields. Please send your resume to jose.dominic@tamu.edu
Beneficial, not required: Experience with MATLAB/Python are a bonus but not required
Description:
The project strives to get a fundamental understanding on how varying temperature with time affects the useful life of metals. This new knowledge will address the need to increase operating temperatures in key industrial sectors to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact, without compromising safety. The first part of the project involves configuring and testing a new creep-fatigue test rig while the second part involves various thermo-mechanical testing and data analysis
