Plan to collect preliminary data from the Texas A&M undergraduate study body and design a community intervention tool that will culminate in some type of educational resource on how to manage the effects of a large scale event on mental health. |
Description:
|
Four-year university students experience instances of mental illness and subsequent stigma. The stress of navigating a mental illness can have negative health effects on the physiology of the body. One of the current factors contributing to this illness is COVID-19. As one grows accustomed to an environment, stressors of this new setting may become less difficult to grasp and anxiety may wane. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of large scale events on mental health and the related factors that contribute to negative mental health in undergraduate university students. |
