Description:
We are studying the effect of wildfire smoke on the health of firefighters in Texas and California
this spring and summer. We are using Apple Watch and wearable air quality monitors.
Firefighters put them on for a couple of months or more so that we can collect air quality and
health data including heart rates. In addition, we will use the smartphone app to conduct daily
surveys. We will have biomedical engineers and medical doctors on the team to assist with
data collection and analysis
