Special Opportunities:
Students working in our lab have the opportunity to explore the flame retardants and gas barrier areas. Also, they can earn authorship on different publications and potentially present their research projects in a poster section at a conference
Team Needs:
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science majors (freshmen and sophomore students are preferred). Need to have approved or be enrolled in general chemistry course
Description:
My research projects are focused on developing environmentally benign (and water-based) nanocoatings to protect different materials from fire including paper, wood, fabric, and carbon fiber composites
