Special Opportunities:
As a recruit you will have the opportunity to join the participants in an overnight camping experience and participate in the activities offered. You also will have the opportunity to become certified in National Archery in the Schools program, Angler Education and Aquatic Sciences
Team Needs:
Ability and drive to learn and teach youth about natural resources regardless of previous knowledge.
A positive attitude.
Interest in natural resources or nature is a plus but not required.
Ability to take notes and type well
Description:
Creating Advocates for Nature (CAN) Program is designed to engage racially diverse and economically disadvantaged students at International Leadership of Texas’ College Station campus and those at the City of College Station Lincoln Center in a hands-on, activity based series of Texas Parks and Wildlife outdoor education programs: angler education, aquatic science, and archery. We will be conducting pre and post surveys amongst the 100 students to gauge knowledge and skill improvement and connection to nature, etc
