Meeting Times:
TBA
Team Size:
3
Open Spots: 1
Special Opportunities:
Opportunities include exploring and learning: the field of biogeochemistry, water and soil quality, contaminant transport in root zone of urban settings, experimental design, analytical chemistry sample preperation in GCMS and ICPMS, soil physical property experimental setup and analyses, time management, data anlaytics, coding and communication.
Team Needs:
This is an Industry Funded research project so students must be able and willing to keep up with the pace of the work. Candidates must be communicative, consistent, on time, reliable, eager to learn, and great at time management.
Description:
This study aims to measure and visualize contaminant levels in urban gardens through geospatial analysis and the development of an interactive dashboard. Additionally, it will examine the relationships between contamination levels and factors such as socioeconomic status, Superfund site history, and past and present industrial activity.
