Team Needs:
This project will span at least 3 semesters, and we would prefer students who can commit to the duration of the project. 1. Should be able to join weekly team meetings 2. Should be able to work in the lab in-person during the Summer 3. Motivation and willingness to learn to code in the driving sim environment 4. Be able to work with excel and R or Python for data analysis 5. Motivation to learn and play with the different tech |
Description:
This research aims to identify patterns associated with driver behavior and decision making under emotional loads, and to design interventions to support the driver. Students will be involved in human factors research and will gain experience in conducting literature reviews, experimental design, data analysis, etc. Additionally, students will be involved in publications associated with this research. This is an opportunity to work with a small team of researchers, and to develop driving scenarios in driving simulators. We will be using devices to collect physiological data such as Electrodermal Activity (EDA), Heart Rate (HR), facial expressions, etc. We have a lot of cool tech and scenarios we will be working with, so some fun is definitely a part of the opportunity. |
