Description:
|
A synteny map is a visual representation of the distribution of syntenic blocks between the chromosomes of different species. Syntenic blocks are chromosomal regions that contain groups of homologous genes in the same order and orientation. The team will be trained to use bioinformatic methods to generate synteny maps for as many mammalian species as possible. These data will contribute to an open access genome synteny browser that the lab is developing as a comparative genomics tool. |
