Description:
|
Understanding economic statecraft and effectively integrating economics into our emerging China strategy is a timely and important area ripe for academic-policymaker collaboration. This project will conduct a study of the current state of debate surrounding Chinese economic statecraft to see how and why China uses its economic power abroad. To gain a deeper understanding, we will be exploring this question across a variety of academic disciplines, including business, law, and research institutions to create a database of the current research being done on China’s economic statecraft. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Team Leader Benjamin Zimmer. If interested, please email your resume, unofficial transcripts, and a brief cover letter to Team Leader Benjamin Zimmer by December 1, 2019 at 11:59pm. Students must be in good standing with the university to participate in this project. 485 or 491 credit can be offered for participation in this project. Finalists will be invited for an interview on December 6, 2019 from 9:30-12:30.
