HSI Proposal Development Leadership Program
The Aggie Research Program has partnered with the The Texas A&M University Office for Diversity, Division of Research’s HSI Initiative, and the Office of the TAMU System Vice Chancellor for Research to create the HSI Proposal Development Leadership Program. It is designed to expand research capacity at TAMU and the TAMU System by supporting professional development of emerging faculty leaders as they prepare their HSI grant proposals.

- Meet periodically with experienced proposal development team leaders to share emerging best practices in leading proposal development teams
- Earn certification and recognition as an HSI research development leader
To join the program prospective HSI Proposal Development Leaders must
- Be a faculty member
- Plan to mentor a team of faculty that includes at least 3 junior faculty or faculty with limited grant writing experience
- Submit the Registration Form
- Interview and select team members from faculty who contact you
To earn certification and access to additional resources
- Participate for at least one full grant cycle including proposal submission
- Conduct periodic meetings with their grant proposal team
- Attend monthly Proposal Development Team Leader Meetings
- Complete periodic short surveys
- Document the development of a Best Practice for proposal development leadership
