Texas A&M is an IUCN Red List Partner. Students working on this project will have the distinction of interacting with global experts on amphibian conservation status and contributing the official redlisting of amphibian speices. Students will learn to scientifically compile IUCN Red List assessments and will obtain certification as IUCN Red List assessors.

We are seeking highly motivated and organized undergraduate students who are motivated by species conservation. Students must be interested in the process of IUCN Red List assessment. Students will be required to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week to work in person in the IUCN assessment room. Students are expected to enroll in 2 hours of ECCB 491 Research course. |

Student assessos will take the virtual IUCN Red List Assessor Training. For this project student will gain experience searching literature, reviewing data sources, and compiling information about species conservation status specific to amphibians, contacting and gathering information from experts, and comprehending the IUCN assessment process. Students will be required to spend most of the time working on computers in the IUCN room in the WFES building. In-person work is required for this position. |
