Affiliations: DeBakey Executive Research Leadership Program
Project Leader: Humberto Pena

Educational Psychology
Faculty Mentor: Carly Gilson, Ph.D.
Meeting Times: TBD
Team Size:
4
Open Spots: 4
Special Opportunities:
Here are a few: Co-authorship, conference presentations, student research week, collaboration with a diverse team (Behavior Analysts, Job Coaches, Job Developer, Phd Students, and TAMU Faculty), and a great opportunity to learn about single case experimental design.
Team Needs:
Motivated students willing to put in the work and who would like to learn about experimental research, interventions, and data collection. I began a single case experimental design study in the fall of 2021 and completed data collection by Spring/April 2022. It is time consuming and can be fun too.
Description This single-case experimental design study will consist of a lot of data collection from your part. We expect to take data on three participants 1x/work shift for 20 minutes for all 3 participants at possibly different days/times. This will be weekly and the frequency of the data collection depends on their work schedules. For example, if we have three participants working in three different job sites (on campus) data collection must take place for all three participants. You are free to leave the job site after you have completed your 20 minute observation while taking data. In addition to taking baseline and intervention data we will also collect data post intervention around Feb/March 2023 to see if their job skills have maintained over time. Further, we will also collect more data where two of you go to the job site and collect data simultaneously. This is only done for a few sessions so we can compare if our data
