Description:
|
This project takes the form of a research intensive community of inquiry in which participants will be introduced to key concepts in the analytic epistemology of religion (the philosophical study of religious belief and knowledge). Participants will also collectively read three books by contemporary philosophers of religion addressing such topics as epistemic peer disagreement (i.e. how we should respond when we disagree with our peers’ religious beliefs), the issue of epistemic authority in morality and religion, the value of tradition, and how to understand religious (de)conversion |
