Description:
Our research focuses on nutritional disparities among the youth population. Specifically, we are focusing on the Bryan/ College Station area and working with the schools to determine how both nutrition knowledge and physical nutrition varies based on racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. The main goal of this research is to better grasp how deep the ties of nutritional disparities go within minority populations. Additionally, we are planning on providing hands on outreach with this research such as going into classrooms and educating students.
